What Are The Side Effects Of B12 Injections?

I have pernious anemia, i have my injections of B12 every 3months. In the last year i have noticed that i have numbness in my big toes and fingers i also have alot of pain in my left shoulder which causes my arm to go numb and one finger also i wake every morning with dead arms or legs or sometimes both. Im also tired all the time and sleep alot. Ive been to my doctors and had a blood test couple months ago which came back that my folic acid levels were low. Im unable to hold down a full time job although i can manage a part time job. Should my doctor be doing more to find out whats wrong with me.

Neurologist 's  Response
Hello! I read your question carefully and i understand your concern. Vitamin B12 or cyancobalamine may cause headache and dizziness, arthralgia, nasopharingitis, peripheral edemas, pulmonary edema, heart failure, nervousness. It can cause even death, because it may cause hypokalemia (low blood potassium levels).
Regarding the numbness and tingling, they can be present in pernicious anemia, due to myelin degeneration in the peripheral nerves, which cause polyneuropathy. Maybe it would be appropriate to have a neurological clinical examination and specific tests (like for example nerve conduction tests) to find out if neurologic complications have arise, which are common in vitamin b12 deficits.
I hope i have been of help. Kind regards
