What Are The Side Effects Of Excessive Weed Smoking?

Somone I know who is 14 smokes weed in small amounts maybe a gram 1-3 times every month but gone clean for months but got back on it he has smoked like this for about 6 months how much would this effect him in his brain? How important is it he stops and does he need to do somthing to help
