What Are The Side Effects Of High Dosage Of Vitamin D?

My Dr. recommended that I have a Reclast infusion. I thought it was a powerful dosage of Vitamin D. I called the Hospital to confirm what Re clast actually was and found out it was a drug! I had no idea. I asked my Dr. is there was any side affects to having a large dose at one time by intravenus application. He said some experience only a flu like feeling for a couple days, but nothing consequential.. I decided to look up ReClast to find out it is a drug and not a large dosage of Vitamin D as I had thought with many possible side effects. If I just take Vitamin D every day, wouldn t that help with my bone density situation? After 3 Months, my report was excellent, only a small deficiency so the Vitamin D did help. What would you recommend I do? I am 70 years old, take no medications whatsoever, and am in Excellent Health. Thanks

Vitamin D is important for maintaining bone integrity so it has to be in normal range you can take weekly doses of vitamin D for few weeks and add a calcium supplement along with good sun exposure.
