What Are The Side Effects Of Medicines Containing Tylenol?
I had a severe cold and took OTC medicine with Tylenol. My cholesterol a year before was 150. After taking the medicine my cholesterol jumped to 266. My doctor told me to stop all Tylenol and products containing it. My cholesterol dropped back to 188. The same thing happened to my mother. Could Tylenol have caused this? The diet never changed
That just never happens. Tylenol OVERDOSE causes liver damage. This is associated with a big jump in liver enzymes. But remember this is overdose. It has about the same safety margin as WATER. 7 times the regular amount of either in one big gulp can kill you. Cholesterol jumps. and unless you didn't eat a thing for 12 hrs prior to both tests, then the results are just variable.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
