What Are The Side Effects Of Metronidazole 200mg Tablets?
I was prescribed metronidazole 200mg for a wisdom tooth infection, I have come out in an itchy rash like hives, i have finished the three day course though? I have a terrible creek in my neck and heartburn, I am reading the side effects and not sure if I have taken a reaction to the antibiotics or what I should do?

Hello,
Heartburn is a side effect of metronidazole while itching is due to reaction to the drug.You must stop metronidazole immediately and inform your doctor.
If itching is bothering you,then you can take tablet CETRIZINE.
It can be taken one everyday and preferably in the night as it causes slight sedation.
