What Are The Side Effects Of Prolonged Use Of Seroflo Inhaler?

hi i am 24 year old and i have prolonged cough for 2 weeks. my doctor advise me to use seroflo inhaler,as per my knowledge i think this inhaler is using for asthma patients and long use of this inhaler will make me use this for my lifetime, is this correct? is this safe to use inhaler for only cough?
