Hi,

The Rubella vaccine is generally considered safe and effective, with few side effects. The most common side effects include soreness at the injection site, mild fever, and rash. Serious side effects are rare but can include allergic reactions.

Regarding your Toxoplasmosis test results, a positive result for Toxoplasma gondii IgG indicates that you have been exposed to the parasite at some point in your life. However, a positive IgM result does not necessarily mean that you have an active infection, as IgM can persist in the blood for several months after infection. It is important to discuss these results with your healthcare provider, who can evaluate your medical history and any symptoms you may be experiencing and recommend appropriate treatment or monitoring.

Toxoplasmosis can be a serious infection during pregnancy, as it can be transmitted to the fetus and cause developmental problems. To prevent infection, pregnant women are advised to avoid handling cat litter or soil contaminated with cat feces and to avoid consuming undercooked meat. Regular hand washing and food safety practices can also help to prevent infection.

It is important to discuss any concerns or questions about your test results and pregnancy with your healthcare provider, who can guide the most appropriate course of action for your specific needs.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
