Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Are The Side Effects Of Swollen Left Cubital Node?
37 yo male with swollen left cubitol node. He has just finished 2 antibiotics that he took at the same time. The node has become very hard within the last few days. He has sores that will not heal, mainly one that he squeezed and hard little white balls came out. He has been diagnosed with cat scratch fever through CT scan. He has had a low grade fever and now he is just running a low fever it hanging around the 96 degree mark.
As there is swelling and diagnosed with cat scratch fever I will advise continuing the antibiotics under the guidelines of the physician. As the infection within the body will take some time to get over with. Also doing a blood and urine test is important as any misunderstood clinical signs and symptoms may not allow the proper treatment line to follow.
For the swelling, I will advise to use icing and do simple forearm exercises which will help the muscles to be stronger to not allow any swelling to occur.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
