What Are The Side Effects Of Taking ADHD Medicine?
This is about my son who is 5.9yrs old. He is very hyper active boy. His teacher is complaining about not focusing and following instructions in class. And we as parents also observed it. He has chewing habit like shirt, pen cap, pencil chochalate wrapper etc. and friends also not playing with him because of not listening to them. His teacher is saying that I have not seen like him in my teaching service. Even she told to consult your doctor. I m fully worried, please can you suggest me what to do. Is there any side effect for taking adhd medication. Please answer me. Thank you.
Unfortunately there are potential side effects for any medication but these effects may not occur. The possible side effects would have to be balanced with the potential benefits that he may have.
If he does have side effects then the medication can be discontinued. It is possible that he may only experience benefits.
It would be best to see a psychologist or psychiatrist because he would need to be assessed to see if ADHD is actually present.
I hope this helps
