What Are The Side Effects Of Taking Tetracycline 500mg ?
I had bunion surgery and legiment repair in my toes on both feet in November, everything went well until they took out the pins from my toes on December 26, on December 27 I was in the ER with the incision from the bunion being inflamed... they put me on antibiotics, when I went to my Dr. with the inflammation, he changed my antibiotic to Levoquin (Levofloxacin 500mg), to be a more aggressive antibiotic because now it is a full-blown infection. I had muscle soreness, unreal, couldn't even lay on my sides... my arms were so sore. Dr. has changed to Tetracycline 500mg, but my soreness is so intense, had to go to surgery on my right foot, foot is a lot better, still on tetracycline, soreness is so prevalent. Will this antibiotic also cause the soreness or does it take that long to go away from the levoquin 500mg?

In my opinion Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, loss of appetite, mouth sores, black hairy tongue, sore throat, dizziness, headache, fever, chills, body aches, flu symptoms or rectal discomfort are the most common side effects of tetracyclines . contact your doctor if u have any of these symptoms. In some patients tetracyclines may cause the tongue to become darkened or discoloured which is reversible.
