What Are The Side Effects Of Taking Thyronorm 50?

hello doc...i'm a 31yr old woman...mother of a 7yr old. 7yrs back i'v been detected with hypothyroid. i'v been taking medication since then(Thyronorm 100). my doctor has been monitoring my TSH levels and last month she suggested to take Thyronorm 50, as my TSH was coming down drastically. i'v started taking Thyronorm 50 from past 8days...and i'v noticed that i'v missed my periods by 5days now. i'v always got my periods in 30day cycle. is this change due to the change in medication or is it pregnancy?

Endocrinologist 's  Response
Dear ma'm, hi! probably decreasing the dose by 50% was not a good idea. your thyroid balance which was finely maintained got disturbed. if your TSH was getting low, you could reduce the dose by 25 % and review the result after 6 weeks. if you feel you can consult me with your reports. Regards!
