What Are The Side Effects Of Taking Valacyclovir HCL 1 Gram?
What are the side effects to look for when taking valacyclovir HCL 1 gram? I am 65 years old and have been diagnosed with shingles. So far it has only shown up on the left side of my face. I have a lot of pain in my ear and jaw, but no itching or tingling. Also it has not blistered. I have had chicken pox as a young child and the shingles almost a year ago. Thank you. Libby

The more common side effects of valacyclovir can includeheadache,nausea,vomiting,dizziness and
abdominal pain.The other severe side effects are alteration in kidney function and mood changes.
