What Are The Side Effects Of Taking Illegal Drugs During Pregnancy?

Hi. I m just trying to figure something out because I am concerned about the health of my friend s baby. She is 26 weeks pregnant, and she claims the last drug she used was around week 20-21, not in excess , she says maybe 10 times in the time she has been pregnant. Will they be able to test for this? If she didn t abuse long-term, a few mistakes as she says, what is the likelihood that the baby will show symptoms?

I have read through your query and I would like to stress on the fact that absolutely no illegal drugs are allowed during pregnancy. Since you haven't specified the name of the drug abused, in general, they are prone to affect the growth and development of the baby. I would advice to ask your friend to stay clear from these drugs throughout the pregnancy. It would be better to inform the doctor who would be taking care of her delivery, so that they can take extra measures and also diagnose any deformities intra- uterine.
