What Are The Side Effects Of Using Tugain Foam 5?

Age: 20 Diagnosed with thyroid when 19. Problem: hair loss Few days back dermatologist prescribed me with Tugain Foam 5 for a year. Internet says, if I stop using it then I will face hair loss again and I cannot miss any dose and has many side effects. Also it is sticky and therefore I need to wash my hair every day. Washing hair every day will also lead to hair loss. What should I do now? Help me! I m just 20.

HI,
Tugain 5 local application helps hair growth evident in about 12 weeks of use. Action being just stimulation of hair growth..It has to be continued for a continuous effect.
But in your case you do have thyroid problem.. which bounds to cause hair lo9ss.. as thyroid hormone is essential for hair growth & hair health.So you should consult an Endocrinologist for treatment, atten thyroid normalcy which would cure the cause of the hair loss in your case.
THe local treatment with Tugain foam.. can be continued as an supportive Adjuvent , till you get effect of thyroid medication.
