What Are The Symptoms Of HIV Positive?
Exactly 6weeks after a potential exposure to HIV I tested negative. I was the insertive top. I have not had any flu-like symptoms either. I know that some people show no signs when newly infected. I intend to be tested at the 12 week mark. My doctor (internal med and infectious disease specialist) leads me to believe that my exposure (I was honest with him) with a negavtive 6 week HIV test is a very good sign. What are your thoughts on a 6 week hiv negative test after potential exposure?

Though tested at 6 weeks of exposure ,result being negative is a good sign , the possibility of infection is not totally ruled out.
testing at end of 12 weeks with HIV antibody test will give reliable result.
As you say new infections in some people will go unnoticed because of milder symptoms .
