i been having some symptoms and im afraid that im hiv positive im afraid to get tested.. i have servere back pain im always tired and i been have gynecological issues i have lsil changes in my pap and i don't know what else it could be my question is..................can hpv cause these symptoms as well because i have hpv
Back pain and being tired are common with many conditions and don't by themselves suggest you have HIV. The changes in your PAP are almost certainly caused by the HPV. Have you been checked for the high risk HPV strains associated with cancer? You can do this with your next Pap. You should be followed up closely and treated for the abnormal Pap. HPV is not typically associated with back pain and fatigue. Although I know you are afraid, you should have the HIV test done to be sure if there is any possibility you have it. HIV may not have any symptoms in the first few years and it takes a long time to advance to full AIDS. Treatment is also available to slow the progression to AIDS. So you have some good reasons to get the HIV test now.
