i had sex with a girl and the condom broke, i would say a week after i had some lower abdominal pain but they didint last long maybe a day it wasnt that bad, but now i got a white and yellowish roof of mouth and i found a white zit like thing on the roof of my mouth do i got HIV or can it just be thrush? its been about a month since the incident and i have no other symptoms. i was thinking maybe herpes but i got no sore anywhere in my mouth or on my body/ gential area. ive been stressing for the past mouth can you please help.
You are suffering from 'Oral thrush' which is a fungal infection. Breaking of condom during sex is equal to having sex without a condom. So there is a risk , but HIV is one illness about which you can't speculate. HIV can't be judged by the symptoms as it causes general symptoms like fever, diarrhoea etc . So my suggestion is that you visit to the nearest ICTC (Integrated Counselling and Testing Centre) where upon your consent , you will counselled and tested for HIV In the process you will learn about your status and learn scientific information about HIV that will dispel your fears and misconceptions about HIV.Hope this helps Regards
