I am concerned with having the onset of Parkinson s ! My symptoms vary from falling over, clumsiness, dropping things, bumping into doors, cabinets etc., stumbling over rugs, doorsills, etc. I have had several serious falls over the last ten years, I have also had two major head traumas. Pls. let me know if I should see my primary care for further diagnosis? James
Hello. Thanks for asking on Healthcaremagic. Parkinson s disease is caused by reduction of an inhibitory neurotransmitterdopamine in brain. As a result symptoms are tremors, increased muscle tone, robot like gait, slurred speech, stiff limbs, smaller steps while walking, arms not swinging while walking, imbalance, stooping or abnormal posture.
