Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have over the last few days been feeling the need to urinate like minutes after going to the restroom. Sometimes ther is a burning sensation when I urinate. Do I have a urinary tract infection? I have not had a fever and I have been drinking at least 64 ounces of liquids.
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. Yes, you might be having UTI (Urinary tract infection). Frequent urination, burning pain during urination are commonly seen with UTI. Fever can be initially absent. So better to consult doctor and get done Urinary microscopic examination and ultrasound abdomen. You will need antibiotics like levofloxacin or cefixime. Continue plenty of fluids orally. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
