Hi,I am Raju.A.T (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am wondering if I have a UTI? I m a 46 year-old male. I m an athlete and spend about 3 hours a day training for marathons and triathlons. So, I do a significant amount of running, biking, swimming and core work. I ve had some lower abdominal pain that is right above my pelvic bone. I ve had an abdominal soreness from a lot of recent running. However, I ve started to notice that I have an urgent frequency to urinate. Am I confusing my abdominal injury with a UTI? I don t have any cloudy urine, and it s not painful to urinate. Just the urgency. I just completed a run, and the pain is more intense than before the run. Not painful enough to slow me down...Just a dull pain in that location. I ve iced the area with success over the last few days. Would an abdominal injury have some of the same symptoms as a UTI? Thanks!
In urinary tract infection pain at lower abdominal area present, blood or cloudy urine, burning sensation in urine, frequent urination problem present.. Kidney infection or prostate problem or diabetes also lead to this type of symptoms.. Consult a nephrologist for further diagnosis and treatment plan.
