What Are The Symptoms Of A Hemorrhoid?

I have a lump like hemorrhoid that doesn t hurt, itch or bother me except that it s there. It get s smaller especially after hot showers and sleep at night. Is bigger during the day and after bowel movements. Is this a hemorrhoid or coud it be something else? I am worried about it and am going to have it checked this week. Was just wanting some possible thoughts, hopefully good ones.

Hello,

A haemorrhoid is very likely. Since there is no pain, it has to be an internal one. Hemorrhoids tend to dilate and contract depending on hot/cold stimuli and straining/relaxing.

Clinical examination is usually sufficient to clarify such issues.

In some cases endoscopy of the lower part of the bowel may be required. Other potential causes like a tumour or a condyloma are not expected to change in shape and/or size.
