Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
what is a mini stroke? I have high blood pressure. I was recently in hospital in ICU for 6 days due to uncontrolled high BP. Came home with a clonodine 7 day patch. I feel like my left side of my face is drooping down and my hands are numb and tingly and not as responsive.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Mini stroke is a temporary deprivation of part of brain from blood supply, and the symptoms disappear in 24 hours.
You seem to have mild stroke signs causing your blood pressure problem, face drooping, weakness, and numbness of hands remaining after 6 days.
Please don't be scared, you have escaped from more serious manifestations. Continue the treatment as advised and consult a neuro physician.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale
