Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i believe I have an inguinal hernea. it appeared this morning. my concern is incarceration or strangulation. it was thanksgiving so my primary doctor was unavailable, so I relied on a friend s (an EMT) advice to lay down and press lightly on it...though there is no pain, I worry it could become strangled perhaps overnight and it says it could die or become gangrenous within hours. would I know immediately without doubt that was occuring so I could go to an emergency room in time?
