Hi,

Ankylosing spondylitis causes lower back pain as the first symptom and the hallmark is tjatbon the X-Ray we can see straightening of the curved curvature of the spine called as bamboo spine . Your symptoms don't actually fit the diagnosis but you can have an X-ray done to confirm it dear. Mean while did they put you on palliative pain medicines after surgery ?

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
