Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
When I was 12, I had gotten my very first period. But upon having my period I had a very off situation happening within my vagina. I tend to have a lot of discharge that is off white and has a bad odor as well. At first I thought it was a yeast infection but the discharge isn t lumpy (or looks like cottage cheese as people says it does) so I believe that I may have Bacterial vaginosis but I don t have itchy or a burning sensation. I would like to know your opinion on what it may be. I am currently 18 now so I ve had this condition for 6 years and I have never been sexually active.
Hi I think you should consult a gynecologist for complete examination. It can be a fungal infection most likely. You may need some antibiotic and antifungal drugs orally as well as vaginal to treat that. Use some vaginal wash to maintain a normal ph of vagina. Hope it helps.
