What Are The Symptoms Of Body Dysmorphic Disorder?

I came across the term BDD in an article I was reading online and I had never heard of it before so I researched it. When I looked at some of the symptoms, I realized I had been experiencing some of these things, most actually, and had dismissed them. I just wanted to know if I was overreacting or if I actually have BDD. Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

If you are too fixed or can not stop thinking of having a certain defect in your body, while others think it is a minor thing or not a problem at all, then very likely you do have body dysmorphic disorder.

In this case, you will need to talk with a psychotherapist and have cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) to help you address your thoughts and handle them better.

I hope this answers your query and is helpful to you. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

I wish you quick recovery and good health,

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj,
