What Are The Symptoms Of Folliculitis?

I sometimes get an infection on my face, mostly on my chin area, that my dermatologist says is folliculitis. I ve noticed that a few days beforehand, I have sharp pain near my ears (a gland probably) that feels like an ear infection. The skin on that side of my face then feels different, almost dull like there is fluid draining through it, and then it results in a bad sore that he says is folliculitis. Does this sound right or should I search for more answers?

Folliculitis is an infection of skin which surrounds a hair follicle and can be quite embarrassing as you seem to have experienced. If you have been getting the same repeatedly then having sugar levels checked is important in your case. Please do take good care of your hygiene. The moist areas of the body are particularly prone to repeated attacks especially if the person is a carrier or someone in family or close circles is carrying the infection. You are advised to get your pus swab tested for finding the bacterium causing the condition as well as to see which antibiotics will kill the germs.Your dermat sounds correct to me and you should request him to have you lab investigated on the lines that I have suggested and provide you treatment for the current episode and to eliminate the carrier state if that exists.
In my experience, it is possible to eliminate the infection of this nature but patient cooperation is a crucial factor. aAll the best, Dear!
