I felt sick recently and consulted a doctor. Anarex was prescribed to me. After I took the medicine, I discovered white discharge coming out from my penis. In addition, I keep wanting to pass urine very frequently. I drank lots of water too. Am I suffering from gonorrhea?
Hello. Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic
Gonorrhea is a sexually transmitted disease (STD) and usually occurs after unprotected sexual intercourse with an infected partner. The symptoms of infection are urethral discharge which is frankly purulent and is associated with burning micturation, dysuria (pain during micturation) and frequency of micturation. Other causes if urethral discharge are Non-gonococcal urtheritis which usually produces a clear discharge/transparent.
I would suggest that you visit an STD specialist in your region for proper evaluation(clinical as well as lab). Your doctor might want to test urethral discharge for possible organisms and may also order a urine examination to look for pus cells.
Treatment of urethral discharge would be guided by clinical exam and investigations.
