A mosquito bite.was hospitalized 17 days in Oklahoma I noticed changes in my personality.i have dealt with depression,severe anxiety.have ADHD,and am very socially introverted since the illness.I would like to know if this is usuall,and can anything be done to help me. thank you,Angeli

Welcome to HCM,

Encephalitis is irritation and inflammation of the brain often due to infections. Encephalitis is most often caused by a viral infection. Many types of viruses may cause it.

Most of the encephalitis usually begins with flu-like symptoms such as
High fever
Headache.
Nausea and vomiting.
Joint pain.

It is mainly diagnosed by using tests that includes
MRI
CT scan of the head
Culture of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF)
Electroencephalogram (EEG)
Lumbar puncture and CSF examination
