What Are The Symptoms Of Having Menopause?

I am a 46 yr. old female. Period stopped from January -March of this year. Had severe hot flashes (hourly) in December/January). Resumed as a normal period during the last week of April. Last Friday I began menstruating heavily (soaking a tampon every two hours-bright red, some clotting) and have been doing so all weekend. Is this normal during early stages of menopause. I used to have only one heavy day. Thank you,Lisa email: YYYY@YYYY
