What Are The Symptoms Of Herpes?
Hi Doctor. A guy asked me out on a date a few times and i've bailed on him three times. The fourth time he asked me out I finally went out with him, He kissed me goodnight and the next morning I started feeling irritation on my corner lip. I am 15 years old and was afraid I caught herpes or something because he has very nasty dry lips. Did I get my infection from him or something else?

Yes, there is a possibility of Herpes type 1 infection. The prodromal (Before the appearance of real manifestations as vesicles or ulcers) symptom of Herpes Labialis can be present as a feeling of tingling or insect crawling or irritation one or two days prior to the appearance of vesicles. Viral shedding is likely to present with that guy,even in the absence of manifestations and that could cause an infection to you.
Sometimes it might be an illusion due to fear of STD or due to aversion.
