Pathologist and Microbiologist, Dr. Jyothi B L's Response
Hi, Thanks for asking. Based on your query, my opinion is as follows. 1. The symptoms of hypothyroidism are increased sensitivity to cold, constipation, weakness, irregular menstrual cycles, unexplained weight gain, cold peripherals, thinning hair, slow heart rate, impaired memory etc. 2. Getting a thyroid hormone profile would confirm or negate the diagnosis of hypothyroidism. 3. Hypothyroidism due to affecting menstrual cycles, can delay it. 3 pregnancy tests after periods, means you are definitely negative for pregnancy. All the symptoms appear to be of hypothyroidism. 4. Meet your doctor to get tests done and also increase thyroxine dosage. Hope it helps. Any further queries, happy to help again.
