What Are The Symptoms Of Indigestion?

I have had what seems like indigestion all day since 1 am. It comes and goes and moves from middle of chest to under left arm to in between shoulder blades. I called my doctor who doesn't seem to think its anything more than indigestion. Are these common symptoms of indigestion and how long can it last
