Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Are The Symptoms Of Irritable Bowel Syndrome?
What are the most common symptoms of irritable bowel syndrom? I have what I think is mild cramping that ranges from the floor of my pelvis behind my scrotum to my right side just below my rib cage. This along with an urge for a movement more frequently and a gurgling stomach.
Most common symptoms of IBS are gas, bloating & pain associated with anxiety, depression & loss of appetite. Discomfort or pain spreading from the floor of the pelvis to groin is indicative of UTI, acute prostatitis or prostatic hyperplasia. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a Urologist or GP. Get CBC, Urinalysis(C/S, R/E) & Imaging tests done to detect the pathology causing you discomfort. Your treatment will depend on the reports & clinical condition found.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
