What Are The Symptoms Of Low Blood Pressure Level?

I have been taking 10mg Lisinophril for years. I also have vertigo. I thought I had been having vertigo reoccurring almost weekly but then my eyes weren t going crazy like usual. I started taking my bp. This am it was 105/54/56. At noon it was 113/63/56. I ate lunch and then a few minutes ago ate a bag of popcorn for dinner. I just checked it again. Now it is 125/66/63 and I feel much better. I looked at the symptoms of low bp and just about all of them match what I have been feeling. Is it safe to lower my med to 5mg? What is regular bp now? It was 120/80. What is too low?

Hi there...

Firstly for the lower limit of Blood pressure, a person is considerd hypotensive if the blood pressure is less than 90/60mmHg. Having said that, symptoms for hypotension may appear at different readings in different patients i.e patient variability.

The symptoms usually are light headedness, dizziness, palpitations, a sense of uneasiness.

I think you should consult your doctor first to rule out other causes of your symptoms before trying to lower down your LISINOPRIL. Thank you

Regards

Dr Hanif
