What Are The Symptoms Of Mononucleosis?

i believe my 16yr old daughter may have mononucleosis. What are some of the symptoms? Last week she hold a sore throat for 7days. No strep, recovered for 2 days and then a cold with sinus congestion. Now red eye with initial discharge . Using Polysporin Pink Eye drops which helping a lot. She has had low energy level for about 2 months. Always tired and sleeping a lot. Iron good, Thyroid, good. Had a very busy first semester with school and athletics.

hi thanks for for posting on hcm. after thoroughly going through your question i have realized that the symptoms you have mentioned are not specific to your diagnosis you have made for your daughter. it could any upper respiratory tract infections which is very common. we usually prescribe augmentin 625mg thrice a day. paracetamol for fever or any antipyretic and nasal decongestant or any anti histamine for allergy. in mononucleosis there are lymph node which are used to be enlarged thats not in your case. you should consult a competitant physician for further managment and examination that cant be done at home.. thanks and please rate us if i might be helping to you.
