What Are The Symptoms Of Parathyroid Adenoma And Treatment For The Same?
I am a 63 year old fe female with a hx of thyroid oblation and parathyroidectomy of 1 gland. I have been suffering with another parathyroid adenoma that my drs have unsuccessfully located with mutiple symptoms. I have been placed on sensipar for nearly two years. Recently another symtom is making sleep difficult. I have small fiber neuropathy and dont know how much longer i can continue to work. Pleas advise as to what kind of obstacles i could run into regarding ss disability.
Hi,Thanks for consulting at HCM. Your have symptoms due to increased calcium.If untreated it can cause bone pain and fractures,depression,constipation,dehydration,kidney failure.Treatment is removal of adenoma after imaging.Better consult a surgeon.Sensipar is used to regulate parathyroid axis in kidney failure patients.I hope you do not have that Hope it satisfies you.Get well soon.
