What Are The Symptoms Of Porphyria?
My internist thinks I may have a form of porphyria(?)...looking for help about this very rare disease. I have so many of the symptoms listed (not the type that affects skin), and have been suffering for almost 10 years, with doctors not knowing what to do with me, so they pass me off. Thank God for this new doctor. Are there other diseases with similar symptoms that I can research?

Porphyrias are quite rare in the locality and it is a little difficult to treat also. You need to go to the hematologist for that. Any blood dyscrasias they are well worse of it. Every locality will have that specialty. So kindly discuss your problems with them. Sorry for the reference but rather than you getting treated from general doctor go to the specialty where you can get treated correctly.
