Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Thank you! My husband is under the care of a urologist. He had a tumor removed from his bladder on Feb. 7th and a stint was also placed through his bladder and kidney and removed 5 weeks later. We called his dr. because he is experiencing other difficulties but the dr. does not seem to think he has a problem. I researched his symptoms and I think he has prostatis. (by the way, he also has an enlarged prostate which has not yet bee addressed). He has pain when he urinates (every time he urinates), excessive nighttime urination, pain in low back, pain in the tip of his penis when he starts to urinate. Should we be concerned (I am concerned) and do you think he should be treated for prostatis. Is there a treatment for this; is this a prostate problem?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
I can understand your concern. As per your history, I think it may be prostatitis. other causes for such type of symptoms may be urinary tract infection, cystitis, bladder stone and diabetes. So I would suggest you to do ultrasound abdomen, pelvis urine analysis, urine culture sensitivity test and blood sugar level. Consult with your urologist with reports. You can take tablet Urikind, Oflox OZ after consultation.
Thank you.
