It started out as looking like ringworm on my right arm, about the size of a half dollar... a week later I had a rash of little pale pink/ bright red patches everywhere, sizes range from as small as pin dot to the size of a quater and itches like crazy. Im also on a pill form for the itch as well. Its been three weeks now and Im on the pill form for Ringworm yet nothing is happening and seems to be getting worse. Its on my entire back. Chest. Stomache. The back of legs. In my belly botton and butt crack and its now on my arm from the shoulder to the elbow.... I honestly dont agree with the doctor. This cant be ringworm. What else could this be?
P. Rosea presents as dry scaly, oval patches all over your back, arranged along the ribs in a christmas tree pattern, proximal extremities, chest and abdomen etc
If I was the treating doctor, I would have manage it with a topical moderately potent steroid e.g mometasone furoate cream, twice daily for 2 weeks.
regards
