Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 10 year old son has a lumbar curve of his spine of 2.8 degrees & even though the curve is under 10 degrees..., does he or does he not have a mild form or a very mild form of scoliosis? I was told my a few specialists various answers. What is your answer please. Thank you. Kind regards, Miss Devyn O Neill
1. Uneven shoulders 2. One shoulder blade that appears more prominent than the other 3. Uneven waist 4. One hip higher than the other
If a scoliosis curve gets worse, the spine will also rotate or twist, in addition to curving side to side. This causes the ribs on one side of the body to stick out farther than on the other side.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Sanjay Kini
