Hi it has been 2 weeks since my Fess surgery on my sinuses. I am now developing a cough that is similar to what I was experiencing when I had chronic sinusitis. It is worse in the morning and night and I am coughing up infected-looking mucus. Could I have another sinus infection or is this a normal post- op symptom? There is no more blood at this stage and I am irrigating 3x a day.
Take Fluticasonenasal spray 2 puffs twice daily for 21 days. Take physiomer nasal spray 1 puff thrice daily for 21 days. Also, take tablet Levocetirizine 1 tablet at bedtime.
This is the postoperative medicine you need to take. Take steam inhalation through mouth and nose. And after 3 week a diagnostic nasal endoscopy should be done by an ENT surgeon.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
