I am concerned I may have testicular cancer. I have an abnormal growth the size of a BB on my left testicle and feels as though it is attached to the outer lining of the testis. The growth is positioned anterior, and left lateral. From there, it is approximately 1"-1.5" above center.
Hi. Thanks for your query and an elucidate history. Read and understood your history of a growth on the testicle as you have explained. The symptoms of testicular cancer is always a painless growth of one of the testicles, faster than that of a hydrocele, feeling heaviness, always connected to some accident by the patient. Hence the finding is always late. The confirmatory diagnosis is done by the following: Ultrasonography and color doppler of the scrotum and abdomen to see for the evidence of the growth and the lymph nodes if positive. Clinical evaluation by transillumination test. And to undergo for the surgery at the earliest. Further tests of CT scan of the abdomen and the chest and blood tests for tumor markers. Timely finding and getting the proper treatment can help the best possible recovery and long survival rates.
