My mother had TB as a young woman. She is now 76 yrs old. She has TB scars in her upper right lung and has yearly chest X-rays. From last Jan (no change over previous year) to this year Jan a change has been noted and lung cancer is suspected. A "shadow" was seen on CT scan of lymph nodes of that same lung. Further evaluation will happen next week. What is the typical treatment course is Stage I or II (I hope it isn't beyond that) lung cancers originating from TB scar tissue? Survival rate? She is EXTREMELY healthy otherwise.
