What Are The Treatments For Idiopathic Subglottic Stenosis?
I have idiopathic subglottic stenosis and had 2 ops in the last 12 months and am now needing another op to clear the airway. Is there anything I can do to stop this thing from growing. Im at the stage now again where I cant do any physcial work because I become to exasted so I just rest. This is not my lifestyle, but am getting alittle scared. Regards sharon
Hi Sharon. I hope you are getting treated at the specialized center meant for this type of disease. Yes this condition may need multiple surgeries and the results are not guaranteed.
Tracheostomy gives the best relief bu t then voice would be a problem.
With the advent of newer stents and advancement of medical science, you may get a complete relief.
