Hi, I am looking for some advice. I took micronor pill before I had my son, I stopped it one month and was pregnant with my son the next so had no problems there. I started again on micronor almost three years ago. I stopped five days ago and my period was due yesterday, it hasnt came and I have had dioreah, back ache and have been feeling sick. I took a home pregnancy test and it came back negative. I am Wondering if this could be down to me stopping my contraceptive pill? Thanks you in advance

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Diarrhea is more commonly due to either intolerance to a food/drink or infection (viral or bacterial) of the gastrointestinal tract.

It is not a known consequence of discontinuation of the pill.

If there is no history of food intolerance then your symptoms are likely related to an acute infection.
Fluid replacement to prevent or treat dehydration, is the most important aspect of management.

I hope this helps
