Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I m currently in the military, I m on remeron, prazozin, buspar and ambien. I was on seroquil also but I discontinued it. Recently I started taking Wellbutrin and kolonopin and those two meds have done wonders for me. Before I started taking the two previous meds I was always exhausted and fatigue. I felt like a zombie at times. I discontinued the buspar and my next visit I plan on discontinuing the remeron. So far Wellbutrin and kolonopin have really done wonders for me. I m calm not as if rated or nervous. Any input would be greatly appreciated on how to proceed withe kolonopin and Wellbutrin. I have a high stress job and so far I m doing better then ever on the two previous stated meds.
Treatment of anxiety and depressive disorder is not a fixed drug or combination for any patient. It may differ from patient to patient depending on its effect, side effects and tolerability. However, whenever, you want to stop any anxiolytic or anti-depressive (Including Remeron), it is never stopped suddenly and without consulting your doctor. These are always stopped in a gradual tapering dose to avoid withdrawal symptoms. Sudden stoppage of Remeron may result in troublesome symptoms of anxiety, agitation, shaking, tingling and a feeling like electric shock.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
