hi my mom is taking a lot of medication she is visiting in another state and has to have her medications mailed to her and can not get them until next week. can she have problems by stopping so abruptly by not having them ? if so what are symptoms to look for, so she could know when and if she needs to go to the hospital ? here is what she is on. 1.duloxetine hcldr 2.invega 6mg 3.lezothyroxine 4.loratadine 5.losartan 6.metoprolol tartrate 7.omeprazole 8.pravastain sodium

These medications should not be stopped abruptly , as they can cause a lot of problems like :
1. Rebound Hypertension.
2. SSRI (Duloxetine) Discontinuation syndrome.
3. Increase in heart rate that has been controlled by Metoprolol.
I would suggest you to ask your mom , to go to her nearby doctor and get a prescription for a week , till your medications reaches her.
