General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Yes, the repeated seizure seems to be from quick tapper. One has to be very slow weaning the habit forming dose say 3/4 of dose, followed by 3/4 of the dose, reduced to 1/4th of it. The distance between each step being 2 weeks. After increase the distance between minimum doses to 3 weeks, 4 weeks one month & so on till you have a seizure free 6 months. To be careful, avoid triggering factors for 2 years more helps in complete elimination.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
