Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What are the withdrawal symptoms from Tylenol #4. I have to take 11/2 a couple of time in the last few weeks. I am recovering from a spinal fusion and have rods and screws in my spine and a recovering synaptic nerve that was pinched severely for about 5 years.
Hello, hanks for the query. Acetaminophen is usually not an addictive drug. But occasionally if large doses are taken, for headaches, rebound headache may occur. Withdrawal symptoms like sweating, anxiety etc are very rare or unlikely to occur. A dose of 500 mg tablet 4 to 6 times a day can be given for controlling pain and fever if needed for a short period of a few days. This is not addictive. So if you have taken a moderate dose for a short period there is no reason to worry. Thanks.
